Israel was cool enough to drop culturally-sensitive leaflets from planes to the population of southern Lebanon before commencing bombing. Here’s a sample (translated to English):

Are you serious? I think you’re being sarcastic. In case you’re not…Israel has no right to defend itself? Maybe Lebanon will oust Hezbollah and Israel won’t have to respond to the attacks against it’s country. If Lebanon does nothing, then Israel has every right to take matters into it’s own hands…to defend itself.
“Did you know? We’ll be destroying half your country”. Maybe Lebanon should think twice before firing rockets. It wasn’t Lebanon? Then do something about Hezbollah.
Your website sucks, by the way…..

Hey, Ron. Glad you liked the piece.
I guess I\’m just not as big as you are on punishing a government or Hezbollah by decimating hundreds maybe thousands of innocent lives. It\’s an outdated concept. It really is.

Israel is fascist. It is not defending itself when it’s blowing up other countries. For your information the Israelis have far more POWs than the Palestinians do. Congratulations on being brainwashed.

Fred, I wonder if you know what the word “fascist” means. Based on that post, you obviously don’t. Israel is attacking Hezbollah, a group which has the sole purpose of killing Israeli civilians. Yes, some innocent Lebanese are being killed. But as Ron pointed out, if Lebanon doesn’t want Israel solving problems in Lebanon, they should do something about it themselves. If they turn a blind eye to Hezbollah, I see little difference between that and outright support of them.
